Ruth Pomerance

Ruth Pomerance is a creative executive and producer whose career has been devoted to identifying exceptional material with the potential to move across publishing, film, television, and theater.

For more than three decades, she has worked at the intersection of storytelling and the industries that bring stories to audiences. Her expertise developing material across multiple platforms provides a rare 360 degree perspective on how stories evolve from an initial spark into articles, books, films, television series, and stage productions.

Pomerance has worked for producers Scott Rudin, Arnold Kopelson, Fred Zollo, and John Davis. Her résumé includes senior roles at International Literary Properties, USA Films, Artists Management Group, the William Morris Agency, and The Rockwell Group. She was a senior editor at Hyperion Books. Her film producing credits include Tiger Eyes, the first feature film adaptation of one of Judy Blume’s novels, and the independent feature Humor Me, starring Jemaine Clement and Elliott Gould.

She helped John Grisham’s then-unpublished novel The Firm get an unprecedented movie deal before it had a publisher and then guided the project to Doubleday, where it became a huge bestseller. She championed authors including Caleb Carr and Adriana Trigiani at the beginning of their literary careers. Her instinct for identifying opportunity, exceptional material, and adaptation potential remains a hallmark of her work.

Pomerance has been an executive with Reade Street Productions, working alongside Cathy Dantchik and Kelly Robinson and the broader Halcyon circle before the company’s formal launch. In 2026, she joined Halcyon Theatricals as Producing Strategist.
